Privacy Notice for Alice Chapman trading as “Practice”

Thank you for reading this privacy notice. It sets out how Practice (“we”, “us”, “our”) obtains, uses and protects personal information that you provide to us, or that is otherwise obtained or generated by us, and which relates to you or to any individual connected with you.

1. Who are we?

Practice, the trading name for Alice Chapman, provides coaching, training, consulting and non-executive director services to a range of organisations. Alice Chapman is the data controller for Practice.

2. What do we mean by your personal information?

Your “personal information” broadly means information that identifies (or which could, with other information that we hold or are likely to hold, identify) a living individual. This would therefore include any information provided to us in connection with your relationship with us whether by phone, text, email, post, meeting or any other contact that you, your colleagues or your employer, may have with us.

3. What types of information do you we collect about you?

We may hold any or all of the following personal information about you:

  • identity details such as your name, gender, age, data of birth, email address, postal address, telephone or mobile number;
  • employment details such as your employer, your job title, responsibilities, length of service, history, feedback and appraisal data, key work issues and plans;
  • personal details about your relationship, family, lifestyle and social circumstances, your life story, physical and mental health issues, your ambitions, concerns and plans.

4. What do we use this information for?

We use your personal information for several purposes including the following:

  • to provide the services specified under our contract with you and/or your employer;
  • to pursue our and your legitimate interests in working together;
  • to maintain our internal records;
  • to comply with any present or future law, rule, regulation, guidance or directive
  • to comply with industry or professional rules and regulations including voluntary codes including discussions with our supervisor and the Practice coaching team;
  • to comply with demands or requests made by local and foreign regulators, governments and law enforcement authorities, with any subpoena or court process, with any relevant insurance process, or in connection with any litigation.

We will hold your personal information for as long as it is necessary for the relevant service to be provided, and for 7 years thereafter.

5. How do we keep your information safe?

We have appropriate technical and physical security measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, damage, destruction or unauthorised processing.

6. With whom might we share your information?

Other than the people and bodies referred to in paragraph 4 above, with no one.

7. What are your rights to the personal information you provide to us?

You have the right to see the information that we hold about you, to have any inaccuracies corrected, to have an electronic copy of your information, and to remove your data from us.
